Investments in French private equity increased by 143 per cent in the first half of 2000, compared with the previous half-year. This report by Chausson Finance provides the details. (In French).

Apax Partners led the way in amount invested, closely followed by 3i, the report says. The internet received the lion's share of French venture capital and private equity during this period, with 69 per cent of investment going to internet and e-commerce businesses.
