Levels of foreign and domestic investment remain low in Russia. However, there is potential for foreign investment if steps can be taken to improve the overall regulatory climate. This OECD guide outlines the areas where improvements and reforms are required.
Strong economic growth has been recorded in Russia recently and so medium-term stability is likely. However, structural reforms and regulatory revisions will be necessary before it can be attractive to investors. The new administration is keen to implement such reforms and stimulate investment activity. The prospects for the future are brightening
