The opinion of foreign investors about the social and economic conditions for business activity in Poland

29/05/2001Source: Polish Agency for Foreign Investment - PAIZ.

Why is Poland attractive to foreign investors? What factors specifically encourage investment? This report published by the Polish Agency for Foreign Investment (PAIZ) covers the main elements responsible for increasing FDI to the Polish market.

A sample of 814 foreign companies with active investment capital in Poland were surveyed for this report, first published in November 2000. The results showed that the most important factors to encourage foreign investors to engage in business in Poland included: its successful economic transformation, a stable economic policy and a high GDP growth rate. Poland's membership of the OECD, NATO, plus a consistent approach to European Union and European Monetary Union, were also important factors.
