With the stock markets' continuing focus on larger companies and 'new economy' stocks, public to private transactions are becoming increasingly important as a means of bringing liquidity to the shareholders of less favoured companies, according to law firm, Ashurst.
In the UK, the public to private market has grown enormously in the last five years and while the markets for public to private deals are less developed elsewhere in Europe, they are likely to become increasingly important going forward.
