Among the opportunities, this presentation suggests that private equity investors should look for embedded protection such as outsourcing and branded consumer goods - and recommends that GPs be wary of investing in manufacturing processes that rely on a low labour cost and a low New Zealand dollar.

Some obvious winners in the new world will be portfolio companies operating in New Zealand's education and tourism markets.
