Recent market conditions, which have seen much more liquidity in the M&A market, with numerous aggressive bidders for quality assets, is likely to continue in the foreseeable future, says PricewaterhouseCoopers. The trend of private equity funds bidding aggressively against corporate buyers in auction processes is expected to continue. M&A activity continues to be driven by Australian companies, accounting for just over 75% of the total announced M&A activity in the first three quarters of 2004.
