Carlyle Capital Corporation, the Carlyle Group's $22bn mortgage-backed securities fund, intends to file for compulsory winding up in Guernsey, according to a statement. Class A shareholders have voted unanimously in favour of a compulsory winding up proceeding under the Companies Law in Guernsey.
Investors in CCC reportedly include many of the investors in The Carlyle Group's buy-out funds, and Carlyle management had a 15 per cent stake in the business.
CCC was floated on Euronext Amsterdam in July 2007. Carlyle Investment Management manages the company pursuant to a management agreement.
