Should broadband providers care about Latin America asks McKinsey Quarterly. After all, Central and South America have fewer than 300,000 subscribers; the number of phone and cable lines that can support broadband is limited; and Latin American households are less likely than those in more developed countries to be able to afford broadband service Broadband providers should care about Latin America because the percentage of higher-income households with broadband access is relatively high there and because the number of subscribers could grow by more than 100 per cent annually in the next few years.
