Mobile commerce looks set to be a success, in the medium term at least. Here, KPMG's Clive Hyman offers some valuable observations on the issues facing players in the m-commerce arena. The market downturn has not significantly reduced the number of businesses starting up in the m-commerce and technology areas so opportunities for investment into this sector have not dried up. With m-commerce expected to have an annual value of $13bn by 2003, it is one of the fastest growing technologies of recent years. Despite the large network operators' domination of this area at present, Hyman predicts that there will be room for other players to make their presence felt in the future.
