The mobile and wireless industry must focus on both identifying applications that provide genuine value and providing an appropriate technical and commercial environment, according to Deloitte's Mobile and Wireless Predictions report. The rising popularity of the multicolour, polyphonic, high memory, fast processor handset provides a compelling platform to develop for. But the report indicates that while more 3G networks will launch in the future, these will not become mainstream in 2004.
