Continuing sector consolidation, surging stock market indices and sustained improvements in labour statistics characterised the market for IT Professional Services
Organizations (ITPSO) during the 4th quarter of 2004, according to Lyndhurst Partners. Lyndhurst Partners identified a total of 59 North American-centric IT-PSO M&A transactions in the 4th quarter. This represents a 10.6% decline from the prior quarter (66), but a 5.4% increase over the same period a year ago. For the year, LPI identified 270 transactions, the same number as in 2003.
