2007 Headline Transaction Index Round-UP

 The number of European technology venture investments and total amount invested in 2007 increased to its highest level since 2002, with notable increases particularly in
internet services and the number of early stage deals, according to Go4Venture's Headline Transactions Index.
The index showed a leveling of deals in autumn 2007 which appears to be more accentuated than normal seasonal changes would suggest, and may be a possible prelude to a pause in the European VC market in 2008.
