The inaugural Investment IQ Indonesia conference will focus specifically on opportunities in Indonesia as one of the rising star in the coming year. Foreign direct investment (FDI) in Indonesia rose by 73% to 10.3 billion in 2007. This marked an improving outlook for Southeast Asia’s biggest economy. The economic growth of 6.3% percent in 2007 is the fastest pace in 11 years and the government is expecting the economy to expand to 6.8% in 2008.
Given Indonesia's large population of 226 million and capacity utilization which has reached 70-80%, there is a need for new investments in the country.
