This dynamic London based evergreen venture capital firm has $115m under management and specialises in early and growth stage venture capital investments. As a result, the fund is looking to hire an Investment Director to manage this new fund. The firm invests in companies across Europe and will co-invest with partners in the US and the rest of the world. The fund has recently created a new early stage fund with the specific remit to explore new emerging areas for investment. This will enable this forward-thinking investment group to identify the focus of their future activity. The Investment Director will assume full responsibility for managing the new fund and will be involved right from the beginning in shaping the fund’s investment strategy and future growth. The successful candidate will have significant transaction experience, either from within the venture capital industry or a technology-related sector, and will be confident of being able to source interesting investment opportunities from their existing network. The Investment Director will be integrated within the existing team and will contribute to the firm’s wider successes, but will focus largely on making a success of this new fund venture.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate:
- Strong transaction experience in early stage technology
- A well-developed network from which they can confidently identify and source new investment opportunities
- Ability to develop a forward looking investment strategy
- Entrepreneurial drive, confident working independently where required
