The IT Advisory group is an expanding division of Ernst & Young's Technology Security and Risk Services practice. They are building a market-leading IT advisory group to provide advice to clients on how to integrate their IT systems in a post merger or carve out environment. 
Our clients include many of today's leading global companies, innovative growth companies and private equity houses working on IT transformation, regulatory compliance and maximizing value for money.
You will have the ability to work globally as many of our projects are cross county transactions. You are the person that knows what to do with IT to make a difference and can advise and lead a team to achieve this difference for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Advising upon post merger IT strategic options including integration or carve out scenarios.
- Applying your understanding of technological options within the industry and ability to support the delivery of pragmatic solutions to:
- Assess and compare the IT capabilities
- Contribute to and advise upon commercial and contractual
- Lead the design of the future state IT service delivery model aligned to the business operating model;
- Develop transition and transformation route maps for IT operations, applications and data;
- Provide assurance over large and often complex transition and transformation programmes;
Person:
- Good experience of IT service or operations management
- Good experience of large system implementations
- Track record of providing advice such as systems selection, service delivery and value optimisation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (fluent English essential);
- An aptitude for working as part of a team at all times;
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills;
- Good leadership skills across a range of situations;
- Tenacity, commitment, energy and personal drive to deliver whatever
- A track record in identifying sales opportunities and supporting the development of new business with external clients;
- Evidence of influencing and negotiating skills at senior levels;
- A self-educator and a self-starter, famous for on-the-pulse points of view and with a passion for thought-leadership
- Good experience of IT delivery or consulting services
- Currently working in either: Big 4, global management consultancy firm or Blue Chip companies
- Establishes personal credibility, builds working relationships with clients and can identify new business opportunities.
- Supports the engagement manager in the delivery of the engagement taking responsibility for some parts of the management
- Good reporting and presentation skills.
- Coordinates own workload and that of junior team members reporting to them, meeting deadlines, quality and risk objectives.
- Continuously builds and masters key technical, functional and professional skills.
