PER is working with a VCT investor raising and managing asset-backed' Venture Capital Trusts. They are looking to recruit an investment director to take a lead role in making new investments and in managing them thereafter. Their business model is to target proven entrepreneurs and back them in asset-rich companies taking security over the investee company’s assets to protect the downside on the investment. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing up to 10 new opportunities per year, negotiating terms, executing transactions, monitoring the investments and in helping to arrange an exit. They will have the opportunity to be part of an established, growing VCT investor with exciting plans to expand its funds under management and product range.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:
- MBA, accountant or solicitor
- Relevant experience in a venture capital/private equity role – the successful candidate will have worked on a minimum of five completed transactions
- Ability to work effectively on their own or with others as required, and to manage all aspects of a transaction
- Existing network of contacts from which to generate deal flow for the VCTs
- Demonstrable marketing skills
- Sound commercial judgement and good analytical and structuring skills
Compensation would be in line with market expectations.
