The alternative investments arm of a leading US insurance company is looking for an investments analyst to join their newly established team in London. With over $2.5 bn of PE investments, the London team will be in charge of the international private equity funds portfolio as well as finding direct investments opportunities. You will be responsible for evaluating and executing investment opportunities in a variety of sectors from buy-outs and mezzanine to venture capital by performing qualitative and quantitative analysis, evaluating market conditions as well as monitoring the performance of the existing portfolio. You will prepare key material that will be used to support investment recommendations.
As a successful candidate, you will have:
- Strong academic records
- Experience from a top-tier financial, consulting or accounting institution with UK/European transaction exposure
- Demonstrable analytical and financial modelling skills with good knowledge of accounting and finance
- Ability to multi-task in a time constrained environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and of any market data tools (i.e. Capital IQ, Bloomberg) would be beneficial
- Ability to travel internationally
