The European private equity arm of a leading US life insurance company is seeking an investment analyst or associate to join its London based team. With a portfolio of over $1bn, the European team is responsible for originating and managing the company’s non-US private equity fund of funds portfolio as well as growing its direct equity co-investments. You will evaluate new investment opportunities in Europe and Asia, perform market research, financial and commercial due diligence and prepare supporting information required for the investment committee on both fund and co-investment opportunities. You will also monitor existing investments and maintain a close relationship with existing fund managers.
You should be able to demonstrate the following
- Strong academic background with 2.1 or international equivalent from a leading university. ACA/MBA/CFA would be preferable
- Experience from private equity direct or fund investing or a top-tier financial, consulting or accounting institution with transaction exposure
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
- Experience of undertaking strategic reviews of businesses and market research
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good verbal and written communication skills
