 There are three prerequisites to being a successful private equity fund of funds manager. These prerequisites are a broad market reach, superior selection skills and the ability to improve terms and conditions, according to Wim Borgdorff of AlpInvest Partners.
The private equity universe comprises in excess of 3500 general partners and is expanding both in terms of numbers as well as shape and form. It is important to remember that there is a wide dispersion in the performance of these fund managers.
