The local political and security situations in Israel have added to the misery felt by the Israeli venture capital community. The VC Indicator Survey conducted by Deloitte & Touche shows a reversal in the more positive outlook shown in the first quarter of this year.
A mere 11 per cent of venture capitalists in Israel expect the overall economic climate to improve in the next six months and 75 per cent expect the economic factor to have the most impact on their industry. 100 per cent expected foreign investment to decrease, 32 per cent of which predict that there will be no investment at all.
