3i European Enterprise Barometer

Europeanprivately owned companies are increasingly pessimistic about the economic environment in which they operate according to 3i Group's European Enterprise Barometer. Five out of six surveyed regions demonstrated increased economic pessimism with the exception of a marginal upturn in Germany.

3i's survey shows the lowest levels of optimism about the economic climate throughout Europe since the barometer was launched in 1998.  The most significant fall-offs in confidence occurred in Spain and France, while Nordic countries remained the most upbeat.
