Deal Drivers H1

European merger and acquisition activity remained stagnant in the first half of 2003, despite the relative stabilisation of geo-political affairs and the tentative recovery of equity markets, according to Mergermarket's latest Deal Drivers report.

Despite some signs of life in the US mergers and acquisitions market, the report suggests that it may be some time before European companies take similar steps.
