M&A Insights - Asia Pacific22/01/2003. Source: PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Mergers and acquisitions continue to attract considerable attention, even at a time when the level of activity has been considerably curtailed. This survey by PricewaterhouseCoopers assesses the M&A sector in the Asia Pacific region.
There are several key findings of the survey. Investor confidence is slowly returning, but will remain fragile for the foreseeable future. Top of investors' list of concerns are integrity of information and deal pricing, while quality of management was also an issue. The areas that command the most interest are Hong Kong and Mainland China, with Korea, Japan and Singapore close behind.
