 The 3i European Barometer Index, which surveys the confidence levels of 3i-backed companies, has continued to improve from +11 in October 2003 to +30 in this survey. The UK index is at its highest level for four years although the index has risen the most in France.
The region wide index is now higher than at any point in the past three years, though it remains well below the peaks it reached in mid-1998 and mid-2000.
