Swiss Life Private Equity Partners' troubles intensify with departure of Dominik Meyer and Michael Miller12/02/2003. Source: AltAssets.
Struggling private equity firm Swiss Life Private Equity Partners has suffered another blow. Dominik Meyer and Michael Miller, both partners, left the firm on 6 February.
In a statement Swiss Life said that ‘their departure is in relation to differing views on the management of the business'.
The firm has been suffering problems for some time, particularly in evidence in the steady decline of Private Equity Holding, a listed fund of funds owned by Swiss Life, which announced more write-downs at the end of January 2003. The company's fair value per share has fallen to CHF154.60 from CHF401.40 in 2001.
Ralph Aerni, an investment manager, left SLPEP at the end of 2002 to head up the private equity unit at Strategic Capital Management.
