UK's Sovereign Capital strengthens investment team

Click here for the latest news, views and interviews in the clean energy investor communityUK-based mid-market private equity firm Sovereign Capital has announced the appointment of two new investment managers, Mike Foley and Jim Kottler.

Mike Foley was formerly with Ernst & Young M&A, where he focused on healthcare transactions, advising private equity providers on investments and exits.

Jim Kottler joins from Royal Bank Private Equity, where he worked on transactions such as the merger of Ambion Brick and Chelwood Group to create the Brick Business. Before that, he was with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he advised on private equity transactions.

Sovereign Capital has £175m of assets under management, having closed its third fund over target in May 2002. It focuses on buy-and-build strategies in various sectors, including outsourcing, education and training and healthcare and leisure services.
