Crescendo Ventures strengthens London team

US-based early-stage venture capital firm Crescendo Ventures has underlined its commitment to Europe with the appointment of Ian Jenks as a general partner in the London office.

‘Crescendo has committed itself to being a leading global infrastructure technology investor and I'm enthusiastic about supporting that strategy in Europe,' said Jenks, who was formerly a venture partner with Crescendo and has worked with both the firm and its portfolio companies since 1997.

Jenks was formerly president of Uniphase's lasers and fibre optics group. He will be responsible both for supporting investment activity in Europe and for operational support to Crescendo's portfolio companies.

Crescendo has more than $1bn capital under management.
