Israeli firm Vertex Venture Capital strengthens team

Venture capital firm Vertex Israel has strengthened its investment team with the appointment of Eitan Barzilay, a serial entrepreneur with experience in various high-tech European companies.

Vertex said in a statement that the appointment was ‘part of its efforts to step up its investment activities in Israel. Vertex's corporate partners and associates in the Pacific Rim have been expressing great interest in Israeli technologies'.

Barzilay will be responsible for identifying opportunities in technologies relating to computing systems, peripherals, add-ons and electronic components.

Vertex manages $650m in venture capital in both Israel and Europe.
