 US private equity firm ABS Capital Partners has recruited Cal Wheaton as principal. Wheaton will focus on East Coast healthcare investments.
Prior to joining the company Wheaton served as vice president at Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown's Healthcare Investment Banking Group where he specialised in equity, debt, and M&A transactions for healthcare companies.
ABS Capital focuses on healthcare, enterprise and software, business services, and media and communications sectors. The firm typically invests between $10m and $40m.
UK- based Inflexion Private Equity and US Summit Partners have both strengthened their healthcare teams within the last month reflecting the relative optimism of the sector.
