Coller capital, a global private equity secondaries player, has recruited Frank Morgan as head of its newly formed New York office. This is the first time the firm has had a dedicated staff presence in the US.
Morgan joins Coller Capital from the law firm Dewey Ballantine where he was a partner with responsibility for venture capital investment management and technology. He has advised Coller Capital since its inception in 1990 on transactions and strategic matters.
‘Establishing a permanent presence in the United States, where 42 per cent of our capital originates, where some 38 per cent of our assets are located, and where we spend a substantial amount of time, makes perfect sense,' said Jeremy Coller, chief executive officer at Coller capital.
Coller capital's most recent secondaries fund Coller International Partners IV, raised $2.6bn and is the largest secondaries fund raised to date.
