Kodiak Venture Partners, the US-based early-stage venture capital firm, has recruited Subhash Roy as entrepreneur-in-residence and Beth Hoffman as principal.
Roy will focus on identifying and developing semi-conductor and communications opportunities, while Hoffman will evaluate and initiate new software investment prospects.
Roy previously co-founded Onex Communications, serving as the company's chief executive officer and vice president of engineering. After Onex's acquisition by TranSwitch he also served as chief technical officer for TranSwitch's Metro and Core products.
Hoffman joins Kodiak from Sprout Group where she was vice president with responsibility for early and later stage software and software-leveraged services opportunities. Hoffman was previously an associate with Marquette Venture Partners, a Chicago-based venture capital firm focused on early-stage investments.
‘These new additions further broaden our knowledge base, extend the capabilities Kodiak brings to bear to the benefit of our portfolio companies, and strengthen our foundation for growth,' said Kodiak managing general partner Lou Volpe in a statement.
