Pan-European buy-out specialist Industri Kapital has become the latest private equity firm to strengthen its French operations with the appointment of Dan Soudry as associate director.
Soudry joins Industri Kapital from ABN Amro Capital, where he was associate director in the buy-out team. He previously served in the corporate banking division of Paribas and was a director in the private equity practice at KPMG Corporate Finance.
Industri Kapital currently manages over E3bn in funds and has acquired 46 companies since its inception in 1989. The firm's French portfolio currently includes Laho Equipement, France's second largest construction equipment rental group, Fives-Lille, an international industrial engineering group and Labeyrie, European market leader in foie gras and smoked salmon.
The firm is currently trying to raise a new fund that will invest across Europe.
Industri Kapital is one of a number of firms to have strengthened its French operations in the wake of a dramatic acceleration in buy-out activity in the country. KKR and Duke Street have both made senior appointments in their Paris offices in the last month.
