Schloss is leaving ‘to explore new entrepreneurial opportunities in the private equity and asset management businesses,’ according to John Mack, CSFB’s co-chief executive.

He was also responsible for the Sprout Group venture capital unit. No decisions have yet been made regarding a possible replacement for Schloss, according to various news reports.
