Polish private equity fund Enterprise Investors has formally launched a new E300m fund. The firm aims to invest approximately 30 per cent of the fund in the Central and Eastern European region and the rest in Poland.
Enterprise Investors currently manages in the region of $725m and has invested in 91 companies since its inception in 1990. The firm has achieved 57 exits including the recent flotation of Stomil Sanok, a Polish manufacturer of rubber components for the automotive industry.
Enterprise Investors’ previous fund, Polish Enterprise Fund IV, closed on $300m in 2000 and included commitments from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the California Public Employees Retirement System. EBRD is also expected to commit to the firm’s latest fund.
