 Montreux Equity Partners, a venture capital fund focused on healthcare and life science investing, has closed its third fund on $83m. The firm was originally targeting $75m.
MEP III will co-invest with MEP II. Together the two funds comprise $160m and will invest in life sciences companies developing and commercialising therapeutic products. MEP will also selectively invest in diagnostic companies.
The funds have made four investments to date in Novacardia, Peninsula Pharmaceuticals, TransOral Pharmaceuticals and Pulmonx. Montreux Equity Partners currently has a total of $180m under management.
