Hugo Maurstad, head of the Norwegian office for consulting firm McKinsey, is joining Nordic buy-out firm Altor in March as a partner.
Harald Mix, founder of Altor, said: ‘Altor is focusing on adding substantial value to our investments, and Hugo’s experience in working with companies to improve their performance and develop their strategy is therefore a strong fit with Altor.’
Maurstad joined McKinsey in 1991 and has worked in Oslo and Chicago. His main focus has been on financial institutions, corporate finance and private equity.
Altor raised its debut fund in 2003 with E650m of commitments. Mix founded the firm after leaving Industri Kapital.
