Italian Cape Natexis Private Equity Fund holds first close with E87m

Italian Cimino & Associati Private Equity (CAPE) and Natexis Cape have announced the first close of Cape Natexis Private Equity Fund with E87m of commitments. The fund is targeting a maximum fund size of E110m.

The fund will focus on small to mid-cap buy-outs in the North and Northeast of Italy.

Investors include Natexis Private Equity International, Fondamenta, CNP Assurances, Henderson Private Capital and a number of high net worth individuals and family offices.

'I am gratified by the interest shown by both our existing investor base and new investors,' said Simone Cimino, chairman of Natexis. 'In current market conditions I am pleased to have reached a first closing with such a significant amount in such a short space of time. I am now looking forward to moving towards the final close.'
