'AMP Capital; brings previous experience in Indian infrastructure investment to this partnership, having launched a similar fund in November 1999. Our first infrastructure fund in India has generated strong returns since inception and recently completed its first partial exit through the float of Indraprastha Gas.'
The fund will target investment opportunities in a wide range of sectors including power, transport, telecommunications and urban facilities. ADB and AMP Life are the initial investors in the fund with commitments of up to $15m and $30m respectively.
