 Belgian Big Bang Ventures (BBV) has recruited Georges van Hoegaerden as venture partner. Van Hoegaerden will be the firm's first US-based investment professional.
BBV invests in early-stage information technology companies. Van Hoegaerden will focus specifically on the enterprise software and media sectors. Van Hoegaerden is president of The Ventures Company and will continue to hold this position.
Big Bang Ventures' first fund closed in December 2000 with E10m. The fund has invested in six companies to date.
