 US secondaries specialist Cogent Partners has announced the opening of a new office in London. The firm currently has offices in Dallas, New York and Tokyo.
'We believe that now is the right time to open in Europe, and that serving European clients directly from London is the next logical step in the growth and diversification of our business,' said Scott Myers, a managing director and founder of the firm.
Brenlen Jinkens, a former consultant with Salomon Brothers, McKinsey and Lehman Brothers, will be joining Cogent Partners to spearhead the firm's move into Europe.
'This is a terrific opportunity to join a dynamic firm that has already developed a dominant position in the US as investment banking advisors to the private equity industry,' Jinkens said. 'We believe that significant opportunity exists here and look forward to working closely with investors around Europe.'
