Duke Street Capital, a UK-based European buy-out group, has announced the appointment of three operating partners. Nick Irens, Richard Stephenson and Didier Gros will be responsible for deal origination, portfolio company management and strategic development.
Irens is currently chairman of Esporta, a UK health and fitness club, and has over 20 years of experience in the leisure sector, a key area of focus for Duke Street Capital. Stephenson joins the firm from Scapa Group and was previously group commercial director and sales and marketing director at industrial services company, Cape. Gros has over 30 years experience in the French hotel industry. He is the president and chief executive of Accor Econic hotels and was previously managing director of SPHERE.
