 US life sciences specialist Versant Ventures has recruited Charles Warden as a managing director responsible for the medical device sector. He joins the firm from Schroder Ventures Life Sciences where he served as a general partner.
'We are truly excited to welcome Charles to the Versant team,' said William Link, managing director. 'His proven track record in the medical device sector is an excellent complement to our existing team.'
Versant Ventures has also recruited Amy Scott as an associate to the medical devices team. She joins the firm from Edwards Lifesciences where she was responsible for brand management and marketing.
Versant Ventures currently manages $680m in committed capital. The firm has invested in more than 50 companies in the medical device, biotech, healthcare services and healthcare information technology sectors.
