UK mid-market buy-out specialist Aberdeen Murray Johnston Private Equity has announced the appointment of two new members to its industrial advisory board. Peter Gibson, the founder of Corin Medical and current chairman of Chiltern Invadex, will focus on healthcare opportunities. Nat Solomon, former chairman of Gala Group and RAL Holdings will help assess leisure related deals.
'The advisory board has been set up to help source and assess deals in specific sectors that we are interested in,' said Gary Tipper, head of investments for Aberdeen Murray Johnstone's English offices. 'Whilst we are considered to be a generalist investor, we do have a great deal of experience in certain sectors and the creation of the advisory board further enhances our understanding of these sectors.'
Other members of the industrial advisory board are David Brock, retail specialist, Mike Hassall, manufacturing specialist, Moir Lockhead, transport specialist, Peter MacLean, IT and support services specialist, Jim Ratcliffe, chemicals specialist, Doug Smith, financial services specialist and Mark Swanwick, food and drink specialist.
