Click here for the latest news, views and interviews in the clean energy investor communityUK mid-market firm, Sagitta Private Equity, has boosted its investment team with the addition of former Apax professional, Toby Wyles. Wyles joins Sagitta after 13 years at Apax, where he served most recently as co-head of the firm's European buy-out group before resigning last year.

Sagitta has also recruited Duncan Calam, who left the firm's mid-market rival, Bridgepoint, three years ago. 'Wyles and Calam provide vital support to the Sagitta team as it deploys its latest fund,' said a spokesperson for the firm.

Sagitta Private Equity closed its third fund early this year with £105m of commitments, having originally been targeting just £75m. The firm's fundraising success was announced shortly after Sagitta Private Equity spun-out from parent company Sagitta Asset Management.

Sagitta invests in UK companies with an enterprise value of between £5m and £30m. The firm focuses on the business services, leisure, healthcare services, media and IT sectors.
