Charles River Associates has recruited Mason Tenaglia as a vice president. Tenaglia will focus on the firm's pharmaceutical operations.
'Mason's experience and reputation are major additions to Charles River's pharmaceuticals practice,' said James Burrows, president and chief executive officer. 'Fundamental changes in the pharmaceutical industry will lead to many difficult and complex commercial decisions. Mason's vision of how those changes will affect operations and strategy, and Charles River's longstanding ability to analyse and evaluate the economics of strategic decisions rigorously, constitute a valuable asset for our clients.'
Prior to joining Charles River Associates, Tenaglia was a consultant for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and consumer health companies for more than 20 years, initially at McKinsey & Co, and later with Planning Technologies Group, which he founded.
Charles River Associates currently manages in the region of $1.6bn, having recently closed its twelfth fund on $250m. The firm invests in information technology, intellectual property, services and media companies.
