Three veterans of the US venture industry have announced the formation of a new venture capital firm called Shasta Ventures. The firm will make early-stage investments in infrastructure, software and technology enabled service companies targeting the business and consumer markets.
Shasta will be composed of Robert Coneybeer, who has eight years of experience investing in infrastructure companies at New Enterprise Associates; Tod Francis, who has ten years of experience investing in technology-enabled consumer and business service companies at Trinity Ventures; and Ravi Mohan, who has eight years of experience investing in software and technology-enabled service companies at Battery Ventures.
'We formed Shasta with the conviction that a team of veteran venture capital investors with complimentary skills and investment philosophies could build a premier early-stage venture firm to serve both entrepreneurs and investors,' said Francis, managing director at co-founder of the firm.
