European Life Sciences Partners strengthens investment team

European Life Sciences Partners has recruited Daan Ellens to its investment team. Ellens will be responsible for deal sourcing, due diligence and portfolio management. He was previously chief executive officer of Life Sciences Partners' portfolio company Rhein Biotech.

'Daan's knowledge of the biotech industry, his vast network, and his personal qualities make him an excellent fit to the Life Sciences Partners team. We are very pleased that the chief executive officer of our most successful company to date is joining us,' said Martin Kleijwegt, managing partner at the firm.

'I have known the Life Sciences Partners team for quite some time as being very professional and having large expertise in early life science investing,' added Ellens. Life Sciences Partners is based in Amsterdam and Munich. The firm currently manages in the region of E170m.
