 Canadian Yellow Point Equity Partners has announced the closing of its inaugural fund. Yellow Point I, which has been backed by Cypress Capital, will invest in later stage private companies primarily based in Western Canada. Together with its co-investment partners, Yellow Point I will commit between $2m and $20m per investment.
'Yellow Point recognised that there is a lack of private capital for some quality later stage companies in western Canada,' said Greg Bay, partner at Cypress Capital. 'Their commitment to this market and strong management team are what drew us to Yellow Point.'
Yellow Point will invest in a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, technology, communications, healthcare and services.
