The deal will leave La Poste in control of the business. News of this agreement comes just days after it was revealed that ABN Amro had sold its entire German portfolio to the existing management team.

Xange Capital was launched in 2003 to give La Poste a vehicle to invest in promising companies in businesses related to its core activity of letter and parcel distribution. This transaction will enable the company to reinforce and expand its private equity operations.

ABN Amro is expected to retain a 33 per cent share of the combined entity, with the balance owned by La Poste, according to the Financial Times.
