German Finatem recruits Robert Hennigs as managing director and partner

German middle-market private equity firm Finatem has recruited Robert Hennigs as a managing director and partner. He joins the firm from DZ Equity Partner, the private equity arm of DZ Bank.

Hennigs has over ten years experience in the German mid-cap private equity business and was responsible for DZ Equity Partner's co-investments in two of the transactions in Finatem's first portfolio. He was also responsible for the development of private equity deal flow from DZ Bank's network of over 1000 co-operative banks.

'I am delighted that Robert has joined the Finatem team,' said Christophe Hemmerle, managing director and founding partner of Finatem. 'I have known him for over ten years and his relationships with DZ's co-operative banks should be a real asset.'

In May this year Finatem announced the first close of its latest fund with E74m of commitments. The fund is targeting between E125m and E150m. Finatem invests in companies with an enterprise value of between E25m and E125m in German speaking companies, with a particular focus on the automotive, manufacturing and consumer sectors.
